Chatter on “fake news” just won’t go away, notes Grumpy Editor.
NewsBusters reports a poll by Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies with Harris Insights and Analytics finds 65 percent of voters believe the media are loaded with “fake news.”
The poll reveals 80 percent of Republicans, 60 percent of Independents and 53 percent of Democrats admit they couldn’t trust the mainstream media.
The study’s writers say “conservative voters are turned off by the media’s eagerness to uncover all the dirt they could find in the White House, when in many cases, these stories ended up being full of nothing more than hot air.”
Despite not trusting the media, just under half of those polled agreed that media are treating President Donald Trump unfairly.
The poll also notes voters are more concerned than the media about who is leaking information out of the White House.
Seventy four percent agree leaks are a serious matter that need to be investigated.
